My Health Connect

One national standard. Local support that understands you.

National consistency exists to make services safe, predictable and respectful. It does not replace participant choice, local knowledge or individual support planning — those stay at the centre.

How it works

Six pillars — one framework

Six national pillars carry the weight of consistency, so local teams can focus on doing good, participant-centred work.

National policies

A single, versioned policy library covering service delivery, participant rights, worker conduct, privacy and safety — applied across every location.

National incident management

One incident-management process, one taxonomy, one review cadence — with clear trigger points for participant, family, worker and regulator involvement.

National complaints process

A consistent, respectful complaints pathway with clear escalation to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission where required.

National worker onboarding

Shared onboarding, screening and competency standards — every worker starts against the same expectations, regardless of location.

National compliance oversight

Central compliance monitoring of policy currency, training, screening, audit outcomes and continuous improvement actions.

Local service-delivery teams

Small, consistent local teams who know their community — where participants and families come to know their workers over time.

Controls and safeguards

Additional national controls

Layered on top of the six pillars — the specific mechanisms that keep quality reliable as we grow.

  • State-specific regulatory controls

Additional state-based obligations (e.g. child safe standards, working with vulnerable people schemes, health-service-specific rules) are layered on top of national policy, not in place of it.

  • Central quality assurance

Regular quality reviews of records, service documentation and participant feedback — with corrective and preventive actions tracked centrally.

  • Consistent participant documentation

One documentation standard — service agreements, support plans, progress notes and consent records — accessible only to those who need them.

  • National safeguarding approach

A single safeguarding framework covering risk assessment, restrictive practice authorisation, vulnerable-participant identification and mandatory reporting.

  • Local escalation contacts

Every participant knows their local point of contact and how to escalate — with a national backstop if local resolution isn't achieved.

Participant choice always comes first

National consistency does not replace participant choice, local knowledge or individual support planning. If a national policy and a participant's choice appear to be in tension, we work openly with the participant to find a safe, respectful path forward.
